JKDSD started accepting the application form submission from 30 May 2026, and now the last date has been extended to 30 June 2026. Students who are eligible need to submit the online form at jkdsd.in and then submit the application form along with documents at the admission cell in the respective ITI. The merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the student in 8th, 10th, or 12th class depending on the trade for which the candidate has submitted the form. After release of the merit list, candidates need to verify original documents at the ITI office, and new session will start from 1st September 2026. Who Can Apply?
Below are the requirements set by JKDSD for admission to ITI courses in govt. and private institutes in Jammu and Kashmir. The qualification differs from trade to trade as given below.
- Applicants must be residents of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir (a domicile certificate is needed).
- The applicant must be 14 years old as of 1 September 2026 to be eligible for ITI courses.
- For engineering trades in ITI, candidates should have passed Class 10 with mathematics and science.
- For non-engineering trades in ITI, the minimum qualification is Class 8 or Class 10 (depending on the trade).

The application process is conducted in online mode through the official JKDSD admission portal. After completing online registration, candidates are required to visit the selected ITI for document verification and fee submission.

- Fill in the online application form with education, address and other details.

Selection Process & Merit List
Admission to any ITI course is purely merit-based. There is no entrance examination for admission to government or private ITIs in Jammu and Kashmir. The merit list is prepared on the basis of marks of the candidates’ scores in the qualifying examination. Separate merit lists are released for each trade both in free/normal and self-financed seats.
